Discover the art of woodworking in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of woodworking, including measuring, marking, cutting, sanding and finishing techniques. Gain practical experience using tools such as drills, jigsaws and sanders while crafting your very own serving board. Along the way, learn the science and techniques behind achieving professional-looking results and leave with a customised serving board to use at home or gift to someone special.

The workshop is suitable for beginners with no prior woodworking experience required and is conducted in a small class setting of up to 2 participants for a more personalised learning experience. All materials, tools and safety equipment will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable attire suitable for workshop activities and avoid loose clothing, skirts, FBT shorts and accessories such as watches or jewellery. As woodworking activities generate sawdust, participants and their clothing may come into contact with dust during the session. This workshop is recommended for participants aged 16 years and above. Participants aged 13 to 15 years may attend when accompanied by one adult aged 21 years and above. The workshop is not recommended for individuals with a high risk of asthma.
